Hello beauties! So on my recent trip to Florida, my Mom and I decided to stop in the beautiful town of St. Augustine for the day. I had been wanting to go there ever since I saw JoJo visit there on the Bachelorette! lol πŸ™‚ It looked like such a charming and beautiful town. Pictures do not do this place justice. It is even more beautiful in person. This precious little town is right beside the sparkling blue sea lined with sailboats. The town itself is adorned in beautiful Caribbean-Style colored buildings filled with shops and of course, delicious food. The architecture has this elegant colonial Spanish style which I absolutely love.

Our first stop was across the Bridge of LionsΒ Β to the St. Augustine Lighthouse.Β Β The lighthouse resides in a secluded little area of the island, but once you get to the top (which involves A LOT of steps) the view is never-ending. It overlooks the entire island, the ocean, and all of the gorgeous marinas speckled with boats. It was incredible!

Next, we went to the town of St. Augustine and had lunch at The Columbia, a popular authentic Spanish restaurant. I was lucky enough to make reservations because that place was PACKED! And after eating there, I understood why. Plus, the atmosphere of this restaurant was like being in a small Spanish villa, from the music, to the decor, everything; I loved it. My Mom and I decided to choose 3 tapas to split: the Gambas (Gulf Shrimp), Empanadas de Picadillo, and Stuffed Piquillo Peppers. HOLY COW GUYS! I seriously couldn’t decide which I liked best. The Empanadas were the best that I’ve had since I went to Mexico, and the Piquillo Peppers were tossed in a Manchego Cheese that was to die for. DELISH.

After our tummies were full we explored the vibrant streets that were packed with so many pretty shops and restaurants. Because we were limited on time, we only made it down about 2 streets, but we still saw so much! I was super excited to come across The Hyppo gourmet popsicle shop because I had seen great reviews about it online. We both got the Pistachio Coconut pop…OMG. Absolutely delicious and perfectly creamy. The cool thing is that these pops only include the freshest fruit with no colors, preservative, and everything in non-GMO!

Our last stop before heading to Orlando was of course, the beach. First of all, this beach is HUGE! We definitely walked off all of our food. But it was totally worth the walk. The sand was so clean and white and the ocean was a beautiful turquoise blue, even after the major storm they had the previous week. I didn’t want to leave….AT ALL. It was so peaceful and not crowded at all. We put our feet in the water and soaked in some rays before hiking back to the car. It was a perfect way to end our day trip.

Please excuse all the beach pics…but my Mom is just too good at photography <3
