Hello beauties, hope everyone is having a fabulous week, mine is off to a super busy yet amazing start already! As you guys know, I’m super passionate about improving my own health and wellness and sharing it with others. I have learned a lot of great things about how to keep my body healthy and in shape, but I’m always wanting to know more. I have been chatting lately with a girl I met on Instagram who is a HUGE inspiration to me and to so many others. I realized that I want to be helping people on a DAILY basis achieve their goals through dancing, eating healthy, and fitness. I have been so much happier and confident these past through years from maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and the cool thing is there is always room to learn and improve every single day.

Just like anyone else, sometimes I lose motivation or feel like I have to settle with things that I don’t love about my body. But that is NOT TRUE, and I have realized this by seeing people like Jenna Glover (owner of Jenna Rae Fitness) grind and shine to become healthier, more fit, and confident. I think that one thing I have been lacking is surrounding myself with people that have similar goals and passions as I do. I have personally struggled with body image and self-esteem for years, especially being a part of the dance world; the pressure to have this perfectly small body is insane. But, I’m learning how to take care of my body and how embrace it.


This is why I have recently joined FitGirl Nation and signed up to become a Lifestyle Coach! I couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity to meet new people and share our journeys with one another. I will be adding new workouts, Shakeology, and accountability to my daily routine. I think that having a support group and being able to support others is going to change my life immaculately and help me to reach goals I never knew were possible, and help others reach goals they never knew were possible! Making a difference and helping others is so important to me, and being a Lifestyle Coach will give me that chance. There is so much information right now and so much to learn that it’s a bit overwhelming, but I’m super eager to learn and get started on this journey. I will keep you guys updated on that!

So my boyfriend and I recently celebrated our 2 year anniversary! I am so lucky to have him in my life. He supports me, encourages me, and makes me smile every single day. 2 years is a huge milestone for us and I am so excited about our future together. At the beginning of the evening he surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of roses and the new Harry Potter book! It will be a while before I get to read it because I’m only about to start book 5, but I will have it when the time comes!


We always have so much fun on our adventures while exploring new places, experiences…and food of course! When we first started dating, Luke was very skeptical about trying new food or authentic restaurants; he was pretty basic in that area. Now, I can get him to try pretty much anything and we are always discovering new restaurants to go to. He took us to this adorable little Italian restaurant in Asheville called Chiesa. It was so cute, and their Eggplant Parmesan was the BEST EVER!




As if we hadn’t ate enough already, we stopped at the French Broad Chocolate Lounge downtown for dessert. This place…holy moly. It’s literally chocolate heaven. We got a box of 6 truffles to split, I LOVED the Indian Kulfi and the Orangesicle Truffles…they were amazing. Butttt, the best part of this experience was definitely the Salted Caramel Liquid Truffle. The Liquid Truffle is their famous hot chocolate which is literally like drinking a melted truffle; it’s unbelievable. It was so rich and creamy, and I could have drank the whole thing but we both decided to call it quits halfway through (the smallest size is more than enough for two) so we didn’t feel TOO guilty haha. It’s okay to splurge in moderation for special occasions people!

Now that I’ve talked about my recent cheat meal, let’s talk healthy again. With dance Nationals coming up along with 40 hours of work a week, workouts, school starting back soon, and becoming a Lifestyle Coach, I feel like I barely have time to breathe. So, cooking elaborate meals has been out of the question lately. But I’m still eating healthy and trying to mix up what I eat on-the-go because sometimes it can get monotonous. Avocado toast is one of my favorite things, but this week I decided to mix it up and do avocado on half and hummus on the other half. On perfectly toasted Sourdough bread with a spoonful of grass-fed Ghee on top, I split the bread between Roots Roasted Garlic Hummus (this stuff is great because it’s locally made in Asheville, NC) and mashed avocado mixed with Flavor God Seasoning and Himalayan pink salt. This combo is absolutely fabulous! I paired it with some of my favorite popcorn BoomChickaPop for a perfectly healthy and scrumptious lunch.


One of the things I love most about this time of year is enjoying the yummy treats that grow in nature. The grapes are starting to grow beside my house and I can’t wait until they are ripe! We also have a ton of blackberry bushes near my house and they are starting to ripen as well. I love the sour taste of fresh blackberries mixed into a sweet smoothie or parfait. To me, food is more satisfying and enjoyable when you know where it comes from.

Well loves, I’m about to head off to dance practice! Nationals are in just a few weeks so every single practice MATTERS! Remember that in all of your daily tasks and experiences. Make every second count and you will become the person you strive to be.
