Hey guys! How is everyone’s week going so far?! Mine has been really good, busy as always. That’s how I like it though. I’m back into the work flow and now I’m SOOOO ready to get back to dance practice. I have my first lesson tomorrow since USDC and I’m super excited. I feel empty when I don’t have dance for over a week lol.
I’ve been able to get a lot done in the past week though which has been super nice. I’ve been sticking to my clean eating again including my Shakeology of course. I’ve also been doing the CIZE Hip-Hop workouts which are so much fun! My body is still recovering from a back injury, so I’ve been doing a Yoga Retreat as well to aid that.
I love yoga so much because it releases my mind and body at the same time. I really need to work on keeping a more structure yoga schedule though. Sometimes I don’t make enough time for it in my day which results in constricted muscles and injury.
I don’t know about you guys but I am LOVING these cool mornings and evenings. Fall is almost here! To me, Fall starts the first day of September lol. It’s officially time for PUMPKIN EVERYTHING! My boyfriend took me to Bath and Body Works a few weeks ago and got me some yummy smelling pumpkin lotion and body spray…OMG. Who doesn’t want to smell like a pumpkin?? And of course Lenny and Larry’s Pumpkin Spice cookies are my fave. Then my day was made when I came across the Pumpkin Spice Cheerios at the grocery store! You guys I have a problem…I know.
So right now my house is overloaded with Shakeology between my Mom’s, mine, and an extra we ended up getting from a friend. So let’s say I have been going nuts with Shakeology recipes! My favorite one of course was the Pumpkin Spice Shakeo made with the Vanilla flavor.
- 1 scoop vanilla Shakeology
- 1/2 cup organic milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- dash pumpkin pie spice
- sprinkle of Stevia
-Blend all ingredients together until creamy! Seriously tastes like pumpkin pie you guys 😋
Speaking of pumpkin, my Mom and I stopped at this yummy restaurant in West Asheville on our way home from Florida called King Daddy’s. This place is famous for their chicken and waffles. I had never had chicken and waffles prior to this, but now I see what all the hype is about. I LOVED IT! I go the Pumpkin Waffle (of course) with the Gluten-Free Fried Chicken. It was so yummy. The waffle was light and fluffy topped with toasted pumpkin seeds, and the chicken was perfectly crunchy and you couldn’t even tell the breading was gluten-free. Such a cute little brunch spot.
I get so excited about Fall. This time of year makes me really FOCUS on get on task for whatever I’m doing. I can’t wait for the leaves to start changing, the smell of cooking apples and cinnamon, and eating my heart’s desire of Pumpkin of course! I also am super excited about getting to go on some beautiful hikes and scenic drives. It is absolutely GORGEOUS in NC when the leaves change.
I also love the cool mornings and nights because it means I get to drink hot tea again! I have had at least 2 cups of tea a day since I got back from Orlando. I drink a black tea in the morning for a little bit of added energy, and then I drink an herbal tea at night for relaxation and sleep.
Even though the days are getting cooler, I’ve still been craving ice cream for some reason. Which is NOT good for me because I work at a sweet shop. But GUESS WHAT?! Ingles started carrying Halo Top you guys!!!!! Do you know how excited I am about this?? And they have all the flavors too! OMG I jumped like a little kid when I saw it in the freezer section. This has been a long-waited thing for me. This ice cream is extremely healthy..like you can eat an entire pint for 240 calories (which I did yesterday btw). I split the Birthday Cake flavor with my guy and he loved it too.
I hope you guys are as excited about Fall as I am! I will have PLENTY of recipes coming soon that will get you in the Fall mood. I’ve already posted a few already 🙂 It’s time to drag out the cute boots, leg warmers, and cardigans you guys!!!!!
This white girl loves her pumpkin spice latte, no regrets.
