Hello loves! My name is Ashlyn Randolph and I’m a ballroom dancer/foodie/health nut/explorer/lover of LIFE from a small town in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. I didn’t start dancing until I was 16, so I’m proof that it’s never to late to discover something you love and follow your dreams. After I had been dancing for a few years I realized how important health is for dancers, and just people in general. I’ve seen a lot of my family suffer with certain health problems, so I wanted to do everything in my power to prevent that for myself and keep my body strong for dance as well as live a long and happy life. This sparked my love for cooking, health, and wellness.

I started to see dancers around me doing all the wrong things to maintain weight and a certain “dancer physique.” I didn’t want to go down that road of self-deprevation and harm. It is important for everyone, especially dancers, to maintain a healthy lifestyle but this doesn’t mean starving oneself. I started learning new ways to eat the foods I love while giving my body the proper nutrition, and also educating myself about fitness, yoga, and other things that help our bodies become stronger and healthier. I’m not a “dietitian” nor do I have a degree in health sciences, but I DO know what works for me and what has helped me to feel AMAZING and more confident than ever.

In addition to dancing and food, I also love yoga, reading, hiking, traveling, and anything vintage. Two years ago I moved across the country to Utah to chase my dream of becoming a professional Ballroom Dancer. People doubted me and told me that I could never make my dream a reality, but I’m proving them wrong every single day that I continue to learn and improve. I am now back in North Carolina training with a professional instructor and it’s exciting to think about what the future holds.  Who knows….maybe you’ll see me on Dancing With the Stars someday, So You Think You Can Dance, or hear my name as one of the top Latin Professionals in the country! I will never stop fighting for what I want because I LOVE IT.

I have many things other things in my life to be thankful for such as my Christianity, my family, my friends, and my amazing boyfriend; there are so many things about this life to love. Always remember to do what makes YOU happy and never give up on your goals and dreams because of what others think. It will all be worth it in the end. I hope you enjoy the information I have to share, and find inspiration through it. I want to help you become the BEST version of yourself, go after your goals, and just enjoy life to the fullest. YOU DESERVE THAT.

This dancer has a lot on her plate, but that’s what makes life so great.
